Lemon chile spaghetti and prawns fra diavolo at Satis Bistro in Bloomfield.

By Cody Kendall | For NJ Advance Media
Sitting at Satis Bistro in Bloomfield, light jazz and dark wood transport you to a more relaxed time; perhaps the ’30s or ’40s. The original bar and pressed tin ceilings provide the classic backdrop of another era, but the cuisine definitely is up to date.

Just don’t try to categorize the menu; simply feel free to enjoy the possibilities of a mix-and-match that’s part Mediterranean bistro, part influences from everywhere — Germany, Morocco, South America, France, you name it.
